Assembly

The luminaire arrives ready for installation and can be set up straight away. The LEDs are permanently integrated into the light so that no additional light sources are required. After unpacking, the light can be installed and put into operation immediately - simply connect and enjoy. Please note: Batteries for the remote control are not included in the scope of delivery. Recommended batteries: 2× button cells (e.g. CR2032, 3 V, 230 mA). You can find the installation instructions under "Instructions" - they are available for download there.

Switching on and off

You can conveniently switch the lamp on and off with the included remote control or a standard wall switch. Simply tap the “I” button on the remote control to switch the lamp on and the “O” button to switch it off. Alternatively, you can also switch it on or off with a regular wall switch.

Dimming

You can easily control the light using the touch remote control. This gives you maximum flexibility for customized lighting. Thanks to its stepless dimming function, you can adjust the light intensity and light color as desired. You can adjust the brightness via the upper "DIMM" bar - either by swiping to the right (brighter) or left (darker), or by tapping the "+" or "-" symbols. On the lower "TEMP" bar, you can set the color temperature - either by swiping to the right (warmer) or left (cooler), or by tapping the "+" or "-" symbols. Of course, the last setting is always saved when you switch the light off and on again. Convince yourself of the simple and convenient control and experience the perfect lighting experience. You can either stick or screw on the magnetic holder to attach the remote control flexibly to the wall.

SOPHEA – Design, dimensions and light quality

SOPHEA is a dimmable ceiling light with long-lasting LEDs and continuously adjustable hanging depth.

The light combines lacquered aluminium with iron and is available in black or white. With its 120 cm long light element, it is suitable for areas where an elongated light source is required.

Brightness and light colour can be adjusted continuously using the remote control, with the light colour ranging from warm white 2164 K to cool white 4997 K. Brightness can be adjusted continuously from 145 to 1646 lumens.

The hanging depth can be adjusted continuously up to 200 cm. Two button cell batteries are required for the remote control and are not included.

Sehr schöne Lampe

Die Lampe ist sehr stilvoll ebenso die Fernbedienung. Jedoch ist das dimmen über die Fernbedienung etwas "hakelig" sprich wenn die Lampe auf komplett warm gestellt ist und man nun auf volle Leuchtkraft hochzieht kommt es ab und an vor, dass sie auf kaltweis umspringt. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Ansonsten top zufrieden.
Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre noch eine Bohrschablone beizufügen auf der zusätzlich der Bereich eingezeichnet ist der die Belnde abdeckt.

1 How do I connect the remote control to the light?

Switch off the lamp by unplugging the power adapter from the socket. Then press and hold the ON button on the remote control and, while holding it, plug the power adapter back into the socket. The remote control is now paired with the lamp.

2 How can the length of the ropes be adjusted?

At the ceiling mount and at the cable holders, each suspension wire is guided through a small locking pin. Press the pin in with one finger while pulling on the suspension wire with your other hand, or feeding the wire back into the housing, to change the hanging height of the lamp. Thanks to this mechanism, you can still adjust the hanging height even after the lamp has already been installed.

3 Can I also switch the light on and off with a conventional wall rocker switch?

Yes! The light can be switched on and off with a conventional wall rocker switch as well as with the supplied remote control. Important: Operation with a wall dimmer switch is not possible. For this, the built-in transformer would have to be replaced with a TRIAC transformer.

4 Are the light sources included in the delivery?

Yes! The lamp comes with built-in LEDs and is ready to use right away. You don't need to buy any additional bulbs – you can simply mount the lamp and start using it. The LEDs have a very long lifespan of over 50,000 hours and are covered by our 3-year warranty.

5 Are the light sources replaceable?

The high-quality LEDs are permanently installed in the lamp. In our experience, however, it is usually the transformers rather than the LEDs themselves that are affected by defects in LED lamps. These can generally be replaced quickly. If you ever have any problems with this, we will of course be happy to help you.

6 Is there a money-back guarantee?

You have a 30-day right of return with us.

Return policy: In the event of a complaint, we will of course cover the return costs for you and refund the full amount.

As we are a young, self-financed company and already bear the shipping costs to you, unfortunately we cannot also cover the costs of a regular return. If you send your lamp back within 30 days, you will receive the refund amount minus the return shipping costs.

For a stress-free return process, you can simply register your return via our returns portal. There you can keep track of the current status of your return at any time.

7 Does the SOPHEA have a memory function?

Our remote-controlled lights have a memory function and save the last selected setting.

Important: If the light is switched off and on again via the wall switch, there should be at least 20 seconds in between so that the saved setting is retained.

When operated with the remote control, the previous setting is saved automatically.

8 Where can I find the SOPHEA assembly instructions?

A card with a QR code is included in your delivery. It takes you straight to the installation guide.

9 Can the SOPHEA only shine in one direction?

No. The Sophea always lights upwards and downwards at the same time.

10 Can the SOPHEA TRIAC be dimmed?

Our lamps are not TRIAC-dimmable by default. However, you can make them TRIAC-dimmable by replacing the installed transformer with a suitable TRIAC transformer.

Make sure that the new transformer meets the technical requirements of the previous one. Our lamps are controlled via constant current (Constant Current). The TRIAC transformer must therefore be designed for constant-current lamps. Constant-voltage systems are not compatible with our lamps.

The transformer must also meet the requirements of the LEDs, in particular with regard to power and voltage. Please note that after installation you have to decide on one light colour: cool white, warm white or neutral white, i.e. a mix of both LED colours.

11 Is the SOPHEA smart home compatible?

Our lamps are not smart home compatible by default. However, you can connect them to a smart home system by replacing the installed transformer with a suitable smart home transformer.

Make sure that the new transformer meets the technical requirements of the existing transformer. Our lamps are controlled via constant current. The smart home transformer must therefore be designed for constant-current lamps. Constant-voltage systems are not compatible with our lamps.

If you still want to adjust the color temperature from warm white to cool white, the smart home transformer must be CCT-capable.

12 What are the technical specifications of the Sophea's built-in cable?

The installed cable has 3 cores and a conductor cross-section of 0.3 mm². It is cable type F829/VDE. The cable is rated for a maximum voltage of 300/500 V and is heat-resistant up to 180 °C.
